Dear Recipient of Unsolicited E-mail:

There appears to be some malicious person or organization that is sending out unsolicited e mails using my domain address. These e-mails may contain spam, pornography and or viruses, trojans or worms.

If you do receive such an e mail, DO NOT OPEN IT! If you right click (in Outlook Express) and look at the Properties of the e-mail, you can detect the original mail server of the sender.

As a rule, it is good practice to follow an e mail protocol:

  • Do not open ANY attachment to an e mail. Even if you know who it is from or
the sender says "it’s o.k." It is possible that even "jpg" images can carry
    Trojan type worm viruses.
  • Always run your anti-virus program to scan both incoming and outgoing
e-mails. You may be unknowingly sending a virus to everyone on your address
    list.
  • Many e-mail programs give you the option to block a sender. Again, right
click and look under the Properties of an e-mail to find out the origin or
    e-mail server of the sender.
  • Always frequently update your virus definitions from your anti-virus
    software provider.

I have been reporting this matter to Authorities. Regretfully, other than to offer you this warning, I am powerless to do anything else to stop this from happening.

Sincerely,

Joel Bishow
